Orchard Hill is an Assisted Living Residence that has been in operation since 1997 offering a small, unique home-like rental community. We are a family owned, for profit community that provides personal care services in residential and social environment all while preserving resident independence, choice, dignity and respect. Our personal commitment to residents and their families provides a boutique approach to Assisted Living that is unsurpassed in the industry. At Orchard Hill there are no large entrance fees or hidden costs. One monthly fee includes the rental of your apartment, use of amenities, weekly housekeeping, maintenance, delicious dining, scheduled transportation, 24-hour staffing and social educational and cultural activities.

What is Assisted Living?

Assisted Living as defined by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in M.G.L. is any entity, however organized, whether conducted for profit or not for profit, which meets all of the following criteria: (a) provides room and board; and (b) provides, directly by its employees or through arrangements with another organization which the entity may or may not control or own, Personal Care Services for three or more adults who are not related by consanguinity or affinity to their care provider; and (c) collects payments or third party reimbursements from or on behalf of Residents to pay for the provision of assistance with the Activities of Daily Living, or arranges for the same.

Assisted Living includes all of the above, but also assumes that you desire a more active degree of assistance day-to-day with certain daily tasks, like showering, dressing and managing medications.

The moment I walked through the front door of Orchard Hill at Sudbury I knew that this was the place I wanted my mom to live. The Administrative Staff have bent over backwards to meet my mother’s needs and went above and beyond making sure that mom’s 100th birthday was celebrated in style. The residents’ commented that it was the best birthday celebration that they had attended.

Assisted and Independent Living Monthly Fee Includes:

Nurse on staff 7 days per week
24-hour staffing including overnight Resident Care Associates

Assisted Living Monthly Fee Includes:

All of the above as well as up to 45 minutes of personal care assistance daily for help with bathing, grooming, dressing, transfers, toileting & escorts.

Personal Care Packages:

Orchard Hill offers additional personal care options for residents who may require more care and help with “Activities of Daily Living” (ADL’s ); whether it’s temporary or permanent in nature. The determination of personal care package level is based upon the resident’s health status – physical and cognitive. We can accommodate a wide array of needs, and also help with the coordination of outside agencies, such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Podiatry and Specialized Nursing Services, to help keep the resident healthy and happy.

Stay Independent: 45 minutes of personal care per day… Inclusive to rent.

Supportive Light: an hourly rate for those residents who have very specific care requests.

Supportive: for those residents who need more assistance with ADL’s and cueing & additional physical assistance completing tasks up to 10 hours weekly.

Supportive Plus: includes up to 15 hours weekly of personal care, escorts and additional assistance with toileting.
